Zhang played for the Tianjin Lions, winning league titles in 2002, 2005 and 2006, and appeared in one game at last year's World Baseball Classic but did not have any at-bats.
Good God, this kid is 19 NOW....which means he was 14 when his team first got a title?! Damn.....

China just started playing baseball a few years back to prepare themselves for the Beijing Olympics. Since China is a host country, they get a free entry to the baseball qualifiers.
FYI, Kurt Suzuki just started playiing for the A's and hit a homerun last night.

I actually knew this one because I have Taiwanese friends and they are freaking mad into the MLB and the whole baseball thing, much more than the local Canadians here. (who mainly watch NHL hockey)

王建民! 台灣之光!! Pitcher for the yankees, we all rock yankees gear here like there's no tomorrow because of him!
Yankees probably saw how much merchandise and audience they got from one island, makes sense to go after the one billion person market.

Wang Jian Min eh? His name in English is Chien-Ming Wang I think? I know him, one of the better NYY pitchers. (oh wait.... I hate the Yankees... haha)
Go Bosox, (just because) Dodgers, (LA cousins, went to a game at Dodger stadium once) Mariners, (hey, they're my closest MLB team.. might as well cher for them) and.... meh I just can't get excited about baseball lol. Its fun watching live (with friends and stuff, kinda relaxing, much more laid-back than hockey.) SOOO freaking SLOW on TV.
