You sure you're some White troll? I've never heard anyone claim that being born (or never being outside the U.S.) in the U.S. is a requirement to be a "real" Asian American.

Well, of all Asian Americans, I'm as Asian American as you can get.

I'm not white, but I kind of have caucasian features, even though I look Asian. I probably do have some white in me.

.........your train of thought proves that you are insecure and want to be White. It's not that you have Caucasian features, it is us sharing the same features or them having Asian features. You shouldn't have said it in the first place, no one asked.

No, certain features are known to be common in the white race, and others common in the Asian race. Take for instance, the eyelid surgery popular among Asians to make themselves look more white. I don't need that surgery because my eyes already look like that.

You shouldn't have said it in the first place, no one asked.

Oh really?

You sure you're some White troll?

That doesn't look like nobody to me.

I am just stating facts. You are the one who sounds angry. This anger comes from your feelings of inferiority to white people. I may have some of these feelings a little, but nowhere near as much as you. I am, after all, part white.

The eyelid surgery is to add a fold into certain Asian eyelids, as not everyone inherits it. But that doesn't mean that the fold is purely a "Caucasian" aspect, nor does getting the surgery cause anyone to appear any more "white". I don't see how that cosmetic "tuck" would cause someone's skin pigment to change any paler nor how it would affect their psychological/mental state to appear "more white".

All Caucasians have this fold. The only ones that don't are the ones that are born retarded.

I'm using white here to mean Caucasian. In that sense, a "white" person can get a nice deep tan, and doesn't make them any less "white."

Yeah, well a lot of Asians, like myself, are also born with this fold. I guess this makes them look Caucasian.

I guess, since ALL Caucasian folk are born with hair, and I was born with hair, that makes me MORE Caucasian.

Oh wait, it makes me human.

You're wrong. I don't feel inferior to Whites. You were conveying the notion that to be a "real" Asian American, one has to be born here and that is not something I've ever heard an Asian say and it comes off as trollish, thus the suspicion that you're really a White troll. It has nothing to do with feelings of inferiority.

I am, after all, part white.

Really? Well then that makes two of us.

And this proves that the double folded eyelid and the gene that causes it to be only a "Caucasian" trait how?

I guess that since I already have the fold, that means I'm more white from birth than the next Asian person who DOESN'T have it. Wow.

I can just cry for joy from my non-surgical double lidded eyes.

It annoys me when people attribute various cosmetic surgeries in minorities to wanting to be more "white". Skin whitening in a lot of asian cultures is not from a need or want to be more caucasian. It comes from wanting to look like higher class, since for thousands of years in chinese culture the richer, more affluent people had lighter skin since they didn't need to work outside in the fields, but somehow, now when chinese try to lighten their skin everyone says they want to be more caucasian. go figure.

But then again on the flip side there are minorities who really DO want to look white but will use that example (or myriad of others for other minorities) to make it seem like they don't or so they won't be questioned and put in a uncomfortable position.

Issues like this have me split.

That's probably true. I don't have any personal experience with it myself, but some friends of mine tell me it happens a lot with some of their asian friends, or a lot of their hapa friends as well. Be proud of yourselves! No need to try to be white!
