but I couldn't find any.
Anyway, I thought I would share a couple of asian bands with you.
The first one is Boris. They hail from Japan and they're probably the most well received asian band in America. I'd like to label them as shoegaze, but the honest truth is that these guys rock the fuck out in a undescribable way. I would compare them to My Bloody Valentine only more hardcore.
The second is Asobi Seksu. I think the lead singer is from Japan, but I'm not completely sure about it. All I know is that she sings with a really cute accent. They would fall more into a indie rock kind of band, but I hate pigeonholing bands like that.
Anyway, when my YW account starts letting me post images and music links, I'll come back and update this thread with some sendspaces and megaupload links n stuff.

Asobi Seksu is questionable, but no one can deny the rock power of Boris.

I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark. kim isn't laughing at the band, she's laughing at the NAME.
I love "asobi seksu" too, btw...but I'm not talking about the band.
(^_^)

Or... we can speed up the process with this:

Asobi Seksu is a pretty good band, but they lost their first drummer Keith Hopkins who was pretty darned good. Have to admit that Yuki Chikudate is a pretty good singer. More of an indie band, have not really hit the big time yet.

Good list. I didn't see mention of a band I really like called Glay, though.
