Or, Oregon/Washington vs Pennsylvania.

Which would you prefer to live in, and why?

For me, its west coast all the way. Its closer to Asia too. (I go to Asia a lot)

Familiarity can breed contempt, but it can also breed comfort.

have never lived in Oregon or Washington, but Pennsylvania is pretty boring. you've got Pittsburgh (which pretends to be a big city) and Philadelphia (which is "exciting" for its crime, the Liberty Bell, and being close to NYC). and then you've got Amish country in the middle. but the chocolate factory at Hershey ("The Sweetest Place On Earth!") can make a fun road trip.

yeah... what's philadelphia like? I might be living there next year.

And yeah, the crime rate. Well, it's mainly people mixed up in drugs shooting up people mixed up in drugs right? Okay, the murder angle. I suppose the robbery angle hits everyone.

I'd prefer Oregon/Washington.

I find myself wanting the chill people and less hub-bub of urban life.

That and the weather's pretty temperate out here, and fairly consistent on the West Coast.

What about North Coast vs. South Coast? I live in Cleveland or Houston depending on the season.

Washington is better. I miss Seattle life. Less hippies.

West Coast all the way. California is obviously the best state.

I'm racist against East Coasters.

ya, I'll stay here in Cali. Love it here. but I love visiting my relatives in VA. Nice place to visit and I wouldn't mind living there, except in the snow. then I'd be crashing my car all the damn time!!

Seattle is one of the few places I would ever live.
I would never live in Phili and it's only getting worse. IMO, it's the 2nd most tragic city in the US behind New Orleans.

You're forgetting Detroit.

They say it rains a lot in Seattle, if 92 cm's (http://www.cityofseattle.net/oir/datasheet/quality.htm) is a lot on average.

I like the Bay Area fog and moderate weather for most of the year. The inland stuff sucks.

I wouldn't like NY because of the weather extremes.

next trip say something. we won't keep you long because we know the baby drives non-parents batshit if over an hour but we can at least take you out for a lunch. he only eats from metal chopsticks. it's highly amusing.

I'm not fond of either Oregon/Washington or Penn State ... If I had to choose, I'm pick Pennsylvania.
