I have the knack for picking some of the crappiest rentals. The Fountain with Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weiz is just such a movie.
They kept repeating this scene with Jackman in some snowless snowglobe, talking to a tree, and at times to the Weiz character.
It was a nap making movie. I tried to keep my eyes open, but then drifted off. Every time I woke, I swear Jackman was in a snowless snowglobe scene.
The movie was supposed to be about Jackman being this doctor trying to save his wife (Weiz) from cancer, but failing. but they went off into this weirdass surrealistic direction with his efforts to try and save her.
They both got paid, I guess to humor the director (or whoever's) artistic endeavors, but it's probably one of those movies that Jackman will look back on with embarrassment.
