Hot tempered Rosie O'Donnell is leaving The View for good.

Love her for speaking her mind or hate her for being abrasive, Rosie O'Donnell did add spark to that show (at least that's what I heard according to Extra last night). But it still doesn't excuse her for the "ching chong" jokes.

That's pathetic and cowardly. She was going to leave in a few weeks anyways, so why abruptly quit all because poor little Elizabeth Hassleback called her out on the show. When Katie Couric was hired by CBS, and set up this domino effect which led to Rosie O'Donnel getting hired, I said at that point that hiring Katie and Rosie were bad decisions. After Rosie had come out, she was no longer the mainstream, lovable talk show host she had been on her show.

There was a long line of interest groups she had offended during her short-lived tenure on the show- the right, asian groups, the US military who she implied were 'terrorists', christians, etc...

She didn't quit.
She got pulled.
She was going to bring on some engineers and one of the makers of the loosechange documentary to dispute 9/11.
From what I hear THe view show was not shown on that day, instead an entire BUsh speech was instead broadcast which ABC has never ever done before.
Face it. Your entire media is hijacked and is in bed with your current administration democrat or republican.

Where are you getting that info from? So far, everything I've read says that it was O'Donnel who quit, including O'Donnels own statements. After the fight, in her blog, O'Donnel sounded unsure about returning as she saw the split screen as a low blow.

If the producers were going to fire her over her controversial comments, they would have done so after she implied that the US military were the true terrorists.

Where are you getting that info from?
A pair of high schoolers with free time and iMovie experience, I'll bet.

the view is basically four women screaming over each other
early in the morning. it gets so noisy after awhile, i don't
know how some people watch it on a daily basis.
and rosie was the loudest.

When will Lizzie leave "The View"?

She doesn't seem to add much to their yell-versations.

MM or AC might liven up the show more than Lizzie.

I don't know why Elizabeth Hassleback should leave the show? After all, she more than held her own in those debates and actually made a more coherent argument than Rosie O'Donnel. Although, I suspect that had more to do with who Elizabeth was debating against.

Plus, they wouldn't choose MM or AC to fill Elizabeth's role since she's the designated young person on the show. Remember, she filled the spot that Debbie M. and Lisa Ling previously filled. If she left, they'd fill it with another young woman.

Before Rosie joined the show, I don't think we ever saw these 'yell-versations' before. After Rosie, I think the show will return to normal and we won't see these screamfeasts anymore.

She's basically a wallflower.

She may have filled-in, but she didn't fill the shoes of Lisa Ling. Lisa could contribute to whatever the conversation. Lizzie sits around. At least whenever I've watched for a few minutes before running out the door to do something useful.

I've yelled at the TV, "Say something, woman!"

Her popularity has certainly gone up with the Rosie verbal bout. But that seems to be because more people dislike Rosie (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/lifestyle/poll_61_view_o_donnell_unfavorably).

But I wonder how well Lizzie will fair with the ratings as time goes on.
