Japan boy 'severs mother's head'

A teenage Japanese boy has been arrested after walking into a police station carrying a severed human head and claiming to have killed his mother.

The 17-year-old went to a police station in the town of Aizuwakamatsu, north of Tokyo, carrying the head in a sports bag, Japanese media said.

The beheaded body of a woman was later found at the boy's home, police said.

This is the latest in a series of grisly killings in Japan, a country renowned for its low crime rate.

On Monday a severed human leg was discovered in a small river in central Tokyo.

In January, a 32-year-old woman was arrested after she confessed to killing her husband, dismembering him with a saw and dumping body parts around Tokyo.

'It's horrifying'

In the latest case, the boy, said to be a local high school student, reportedly told police he killed his mother with a knife during the night as she slept, and had acted alone.

Japanese press said the boy lived with his young brother, separately from their parents. Their mother was believed to have been visiting them on Monday.

The teenager was reported to have undergone psychiatric treatment at some point in the past.

Chief Cabinet Secretary Yasuhisa Shiozaki expressed his alarm at the reports. "If it's true, it's horrifying," he said.

Aizuwakamatsu is located in Fukushima prefecture, some 200km (125 miles) north of Tokyo.

by the way, check out the actual story that Nobody Knows is based on. Wikipedia has an article on it.

personally i think the director would have done about 10 times better by making it as realistic as possible.

That would have been a lot better story. And get rid of all the "Hey cameraman, care for another LONG ASS shot of my foot, doing nothing?"

Agree, that is crazy. But that movie sucked. That director should burn in cinema hell for trying to make a "life affirming" movie out of children living in shit squalor after being abandoned by their ho mom. Complete with tinkly soundtrack of adorability. Um, no.

Also, today my eyes are burning red. Allergies? My body rejecting this godawful film? I WONDER. =P

the story had great potential. but the movie just didn't have enough dead babies stuffed in a closet, and it didn't have enough 2-year olds being killed by a teenager for eating his ramen and then buried in a shallow grave. because apparently that's what happened in the real-life story that the movie was based on.

such killings are still rare in Japan.

of school killings, i know of one where a nut stabbed a few school kids.

contrast this to america, #1 in school killings.

part of the problem is that they put psycho kids in mental hospitals for 406 days on the average, and most of the time try to shame the kids into sanity, WHEN SHAME IS WHAT LED THEM TO BECOME SHINKEI IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!

Shinkeishitzu is the term for "very nervous and a little bit off" or "mental illness of unknown type."

Very few people diagnosed with "nerves" recover. Even Naikan and Morita therapy do not always work on them, mainly because shrinks rarely used medication and will take out the needle to calm patients that scare them by crying a lot and acting out.

Sadly though, they don't medicate them with benzodiazepine. They instead use typical anti-psychotics which cause embarrassing side effects, and WORSEN THE SYMPTOMS.

In short, mental hospitals in Japan are used to MANUFACTURE mentally ill people who are worse off, so much so some of them may kill other people just so the State can be done with them and hang them.

Bullying is a common family pastime in Japan.

A father may bully a son. A mother may bully all family members.

Ijime byo is the Japanese family secret.

Bullying is used to "cure" a child of inappropriate behavior.

This is after years of amae training from childhood, including sleeping in the parents' bed too often.
