I read a Popular Science magazine that the reason non-Asians think we all look the same is because it's more difficult for them to recognize our facial expressions. We have to do something really obvious to convey emotions. For example, we have to actually smile for them to know we're happy. We have to yell and furrow our brow to show we're angry.

At any rate, they also theorized that it makes Asians great poker players because we can employ a "stone face."

What in the shit? lol

Its not because non-Asians aren't exposed to enough Asians..... that'd make too much sense, and it wouldn't it be "Scientific"

As far as AC goes, there are lots of Asian dealers as well. Not sure if being Asian helps you win poker games though lol

ps. how the hell did Poker become a sport? espn?

asians are wily and highly skilled at tricking people. they like to look right into your eyes as they backstab you, while smiling. that's just their "way".

It's hard to read people that are naturally inscrutable plus our math skills are unparalled. ;)

lol @ the comments. But if you're a decent player and/or playing against people who aren't so good, I'm sure you could use this to your advantage.

and word to stonedasian's comment. I swear the only reason that people have a hard time distinguishing between different people of another race is because they're lazy shits.

Yes, Asians can definitely dominate the poker scene because it's the only sport that doesn't require legs.

To prevail in any field, it is better that the opposition do not know that you are entering the field of competition
