dishes with fresh coconut

ideas? is thai curry better with fresh coconut or coconut cream?

LAKHSA/LAHKSA is awesome with fresh coconut. But the cream is good too.

I also use coconut cream and only one brand Savoy. Tried different brands, but this one seems to bring out the sweetness in the curry.

are we only talking about main dishes? cuz my cousin made a tapioca soup with coconut cream and it was tasty.

For desserts, you are better off using fresh coconut. As for Thai curry, certain curry spice can sometimes overpower the coconut milk already so it may not worth extracting the milk from the coconut yourself. Anyway, fresh coconut is always better.
