A few hours ago, there was a commotion outside my house and my cat was being mauled by a pack of dogs right in my front yard. My brother chased them off and there she was lying there with a big gash in her belly still breathing. My brother took her into the garage and she died.
We're very upset over this. Fucking stray dogs.
Three of the dogs involved were puppies who were stupid enough to hang around after their bitch mother abandoned them and we captured them. Big mistake. At least one of them won't be growing up to maul anymore cats. :mad:

Make some time for yourself to process kitty's death. You may get teased, etc., but it's up to you how you feel you need to mourn and what, if any, 'funeral' you'd like to have.
A vet's office can cremate the remains if you'd like. As for the dogs, I'm not sure I could kill a puppy unless like my kid was starving but it's your call. When the anger is spent there is the potential for regret.
Once they're gone, kid. They're gone. Nothings going to make them deader or more alive so the anger won't do you much good in the long run. I think kitty knew someone came to help at the end. She didn't die alone or was eaten. You gave her a good life. Longer and more love-filled than she would have had without you. That means something.

I'm sorry to hear about your cat. I know how it feels when you lose pets. I remember my old cat that died due to old age. Not as bad, but still sucked.
I don't think you should take your anger out on the Puppies. They are just doing what dogs do. You should turn them to the shelters so they may find a good home and not harm any more cats.
aren't they supposed to get put down because of this?

Remember to cook the dogmeat a long time to make it tender. You should do it to all 3, not just 1.
I am sorry for your loss. I'm sure your cat knew how much you all loved her. It's painful but she was surrounded by family before she passed away. She is not in pain anymore. No matter where she is, she will always be loved.
I don't know how the dogs ended up like that. What they did was awful. But what if the dogs were not strayed and left on the streets like wild hungry animals, maybe there was a story behind that too... If the dogs were brought up with love and kindness, perhaps they wouldn't become what they are now... Maybe there's still a chance to change them, especially the puppies. Somehow, I feel that putting down the animals is not the solution... Maybe the solution starts from the beginning, not the end....

Oh dear, I'm so sorry.
however, it IS good to get the dogs off the streets before they maul and kill a kid.

Is there much of a problem with stray dogs where you are?
I know that I hate to see a dog running off leash and without an apparent owner, especially when my big butt is jogging. "Shit! Asian man got back. Lemme see if I can bite it."
Boy, the differences between dogs and cats. Cats get pissed at each other and make hideous ass noises at about 2a or 3a in the morn, but then go on their ways.

what if he eats the dogs but the dogs might have chunks of his cat in them? does that mean he also ate his cat too? i think it's romantic that he possibly might have bits and pieces of his cat inside him for a brief period of time.

My god, I am sorry to hear about that. Is your cat an outdoor cat? I am afraid if you allow your cat to be an outdoor cat then that is one of the dangers that goes along with it.
I would send those dogs to the pound. Dont do any harm to them. They dont know any better.

I am sorry to hear that you lost your beloved cat. As far as that puppy goes, it is a human's fault!
Everybody who has cats or dogs, female or male, please get them spayed or neutered!

oh godness. i'm so so sorry about your cat.
this is awful. sorry you had to witness her death.
it's really hard when a pet dies.
a kitten i rescued last year died a month later.
and i still cry about her.
i hope i don't sound like a total bitch but
she was an outdoor cat. a lot of them get run over by cars
or get bit by other animals and die from infections
or kill other animals with their bites and scratches.
next cat, keep them indoors
cats are great. everyone should have at least one.
