Let's all make ourselves better. Name something you did today that (you hope) will make you a better person. Mundane, silly, or awesome, bring it all.
I brought toothpaste and a toothbrush to work to brush my teeth after lunch. Yippee kai yai yay muthafuckas.

a homeless bum asked me for a cigarette, but i did not give one to him because smoking causes cancer.

I brushed my teeth at work, after eating lunch at home.
And I helped my friend get car insurance from another company rather than trying to line my pockets with commission. (Sometimes State Farm is more affordable, other times, pfft, yeah right.)

I made an appointment with a financial planner AND I stayed late to finish some work.
i did NOT cheat on my accounting final today!!!
i did not make up some lame excuse so i could duck out of a board meeting so i can study for my econ final. that's actually counterproductive...never mind.

Read a lot, find post-modernist authors which you may or may not like and just read them. Find something powerful in poetry and art. Buy art that you like, even if no one else likes them. Do not collect shit, find something one of a kind that you like.
Listen to different music, find things in music that you like. Make them yours. Buy good clothes.
Work out. Exercise.
Eat lots of fiber, take your vitamins, and take Omega-3 supplements. Get enough rest, but if you can't, drink more tea than coffee.
Figure out how to forgive without forgetting, love without being loved in return. I think I need to work on these last two.
Take time for yourself, to meditate, or just think. Call your relatives and friensd instead of im'ing them.
Ask someone out that you didn't think you could.

Smart weight training- especially back and trunk area, it's amazing how much better you feel with stronger body structure and heightened metabolism. Not to mention it makes you hotter. Eat fiber cereal once in awhile and vitamins- little things like that have an amazing overall effect.
Visiting book stores and music stores, I'm fortunate to live near a 24 hour book store, sometimes when I need to be alone chill I'll grab a beer and then go listen to good music and read some artsy fartsy magazines and chill out before walking home down a tree-lined blvd listening to the traffic going by.
Little things that like give me time to chill out and put things in perspective so I'm less stressed and have more time to be productive as a student, at work, and as a person.

I has amish cinnamon friendship bread. you make some, and take a portion of your leftover starter and bag it, give it to a friend, and they let it rise/ferment for a week and then do the same.

I gave seven half-hour swimming lessons (some private and some semi-private) this morning. Then I went and got a manicure and gave a nice tip!

I went rock climbing for 3 hours yesterday with a friend of mine.
She spent more of it on the wall, I spent more it belaying her crazy wall crawling self. I can't feel my palms or finger tips from the rope burn.
And I'm going to play more basketball today. Cardio, eat my heart out. Literally.

In the middle of the night on the 92 CA bridge westbound with zero traffic towards the halfmoon bay, I was driving in a car with a friend of mine and saw a speeding grey Acura RSX passed by us, I don't know why but I said outloud I would never ever do that.
The next thing I know I see strewn rubber across the road and then my friend shakes my shoulders and points out to me the car that just passed had crashed directly into the concrete barrier 45 degree collision left of us, most likely at speeds ranging 90-100 mph.
Before I could say anything, before I could even reach my cellphone to dial 911, I promised myself I would never ever do that.

Do you know what happened to the folks in it?
I know more than my fair share of folks in RSX's. And grey could be a couple of them. Time to spam mail some folks. >_<
I put on my "The Man of the House" (Literally, housemates got me a hat with it on there) cap, and woke up to the sound of the garbage trucks outside, so I took the trash and recycling out. After I realized both housemates' boyfriends came back in the middle of the night. And didn't take out the trash. (they practically live here. Eh, I pay rent, I guess I gotta do SOMETHING.)

If you know about it I was hoping you'd fill me in, because by the time I saw the car, no one had come out and I didn't have time to pull over. There must be like tons of grey RSX's around the bay area and S.F so I honestly doubt it could be anyone you know.
Whoever it was I figure hitting a concrete barrier atleast at 70mph has got to hurt.
it was like around 2:00am at the time.

I enriched myself by escaping from the progressive SJ/SF Bay Area. :-)

I told some white guy at gamestop to stfu when he started making chingchong noises. He kinda looked at me suprised, but then his natural white people fear of minorities kicked in and he looked down submissivley.
That was enriching to me, because sad to say in the past I've let little racial remarks (about all ethnicities) slide, even though it bothers me...

i took my grandma out to dim sum yesterday. i tried to pay but she wouldn't let me. things are a little stressed over at her house, with my aunt and uncle, so i want to spend some time with her.

YW DFW?! :confused:Oklahoma City is a temporary stopping point for me (needed to stay within the same company to avoid paying for my Masters degree - technically, but not in reality). Super cheap, but if anything happens to my job in the future I will need to go to Dallas / Fort Worth. It's nice over here, and I'll probably stay for 1.5-2 years or so while I look for a better opportunity later without stress and with better options. I've already prequalified for a house in Plano (north of Dallas), and will be looking soon.

I didn't douse my coworker in the face with hot water (205 F to be exact) from the coffeemaker today, even though I really really wanted to, and even though he deserved it.
I didn't come home from work quite as grumpy as I normally do.
I told myself I will be positive tommorrow when I go to class and go to work. Or at least I will try.
I spend less time on the Internet than I usually do.
I exercise more, and eat less. A lot less. I only eat at early in the morning (between 7 and 9 AM) and late at night (after 10:30 PM). I work 8-10 hours a day with no break so eating isn't really an option during the middle of the day, but at the same time it's good for me because i"ve been getting fat lately. As a matter of fact, I'm starting to grow tits, and that is DEFINITELY a problem as far as I'm concerned.
That's about it.
P.S. if y'all meet up in Dallas let me know. That's relatively close and flights from Alabama to Dallas are cheap.
