Why do I only get nervous around Asian women but not others?

I have no problems when it comes to talking to beautiful women of all races except for Asian women. First, I actually have to work up the courage to talk to them. Then, when I'm engaged in a conversation with one, my heart beats faster, my hands get sweaty, and I find it hard to concentrate on what she's saying. This never seems to happen with other women of assorted races.

A friend theorized it's because I'm romantically interested in this woman but that can't be it because other non-Asian women I've been interested in haven't generated this type of stimulus response.

Given my relationship with Asian Americans (as I stated in the other thread in this same forum catagory), could it be because I'm desperate to be accepted by an Asian American more than non-Asians?

Maybe because it seems you racialize Asian women more than others? And/or begin to racialize yourself when interacting with them?


So it becomes a whole self-analysis, hang-on-every-word overinterpretation to make sure you don't act stereotypically Asian around another Asian but at the same time try to bring some sort of racial commonality to the table.

I don't think the IR disparity has anything to do banana's problem w/ AFs since the majority of AFs are open to dating AMs and the IR disparity issue usually revolves around an AM having doubts about approaching WFs (which banana doesn't seem to have - based on his posts).

He is simply putting too much pressure on himself (and on the girl) due to his recent "awareness" or "awakening" - kind of along the lines of she's Asian, he's Asian - so... his parents, her parents, his friends, her friends, society, etc. - expects them to be perfect for each other and tie the knot and live happily ever after.

Methinks that once the novelty of "Asianess" wears off - that this magnified stimuli response that b has been experiencing will eventually wear off or lessen.
