i thought MJ was pretty good until after the Dangerous album. After that, w/ all the child molestation charges and shit, he just kinda tanked.

I have to agree, Thriller was the last real album that deserved the "Prince of Pop" title. He had an incredible talent force behind him -- Quincy Jones as producer, and Stevie Wonder doing many arrangements. Bad was the first album Jones wasn't fully at the reins; Jackson was co-producer, and one of the songs was penned and partly produced by Glen Ballard (of Alanis Morisette fame) -- Man In the Mirror. It became very hard to take him seriously as he proclaimed how bad he was, and how your butt was his, as he had crossed the line from standard celebrity plastic surgery to what was becoming a freakshow.

His next album had a completely new producer, Teddy Riley, who was famous for the "New Jack Swing" sound of the time. Dangerous was mediocre, but Jackson decided to blame recording labels for the low sales. Since then, his albums are a patchwork of different "hot" songwriters and producers. "Hot" does not a classic album make. The radio will continue to play his music up to the Bad album, but that's about it. If he were smart he'd go back to Quincy Jones. If he'd take him.

That kid he was holding is gonna be tramuatized. Guess his efforts in trying to be white (bleaching his skin, marrying white women, etc.) just didn't work out.

yea I remember a few months back he goes on tv with Al Sharpton at his side and claims that the music is being racist towards him. his exact quote was something like, "the music industry is unjust to artists, especially the black ones" or something like that.

the next day Sharpton disavows Jackson's statement and Clarence Page writes about the incident stating that it makes a mockery of real racism in the music industry.

My honest opinion is that he doesn't molest children; he's just overcompensating for a deprived childhood. i mean daddy jackson worked his kids like sweatshop laborers; i'm sure little mike didn't get to play video games and read comics and get teenage girls pregnant like all other normal kids.

so hey maybe when he's finally done compensating for his childhood, he'll move onto his adolescence/young adulthood when he's 70. meaning he's gonna fuck 16 yr old girls. w00t!
