Well I am just talking about what I do for a job as it was asked and I'm not going to be unhappy about what I do I did not understand the comment...? I apologize if you got scandalized. I'm unhappy about people having AIDS, but I was talking about my job and I am doing research in a laboratory to try to find something to help them and I like this job...

Lol I see that some can see my profile ;-) I wanted to post it later cause I still make some tests this week end so sometimes it looks really weird or is not accessible.
As to the title, I thought to make a game of words. I know what addict usually means but I thought it could be intended as I am addicted to something meaning I love it so much and can't stop thinking about it... But I guess it sounds weird to an english speaking person?
Actually I saw a couple of times "addicted to chocolate" or things like that, so I suppose it can be used for purposes others than addicted drugs and love right?

Hi akane21,

Well chateau lafite(especially chateau lafite-rothschild) is a wine produced in France so does your bf want to visit places where it is produced? There are many places where you can taste some of this wine. I would guess you can just go there, there is nothing to prepare in advance (except maybe choose your hotels I don't know if you want to take them in advance or not). It is produced notable near Bordeaux in what is called the "Medoc".

Hope this helps, but I think there is no real castle to visit if that's what you thought about. I have no idea I never went there... Even though I actually am originally from Toulouse which is not so far from bordeau.

Haha while this thread was originally going to about a Frenchman's interest in Asia now its the turn of us Asians to ask him questions about France. Pretty neat.

In France, I've really only been to Paris and Versailles, but both of them were as good as advertised. The Louvre was extremely crowded but we had some really nice strolls by the Seine River and the Notre Dame had just been re-painted so it looked good as new. The food was also very good, although in my opinion it took a little long to prepare.

Hmmm, let's see.... in Paris we saw Englishmen that spoke French, Frenchmen that could speak English, Germans that could speak English and French, and finally Dutchmen who could speak all four. (Dutch, English, German and French) We stayed near the hospital de Invalides (now the military museum) at this tiny little inn run by a veteran of the French resistance in World War II. (I remember thinking that was neat) It was nice and sunny throughout our stay in Paris so we have a lot of pictures from that toddling town. I practiced my pidgin and very bad French and first got blank stares and then "c'est tu Americain?" XD

I don't remember too much else from France because we also went to England, Ireland, Germany, Holland, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Greece AND turkey on that trip! Talk about a monster trip eh? (Took up my entire summer of 2002: Late June to late August)
