for the corporate chains, I really like dunn brothers (love their blended coffee-the ice cremas).

If I were picky about my coffee when I go out, I'd go with Peet's.

Usually, I'm not though, when I'm staying in for coffee, like in the office, or at home.

It's awesome sharing the house with a person who works at Peets. He's so dead in the morning until the caffeine kicks in and then he's like a hummingbird on speed. (okay, fine, that's me on some days, but he's like that almost all the time)

Been going decaf, myself.

I go with whatever is the cheapest for a large decaf.

I support a local one that sell Tully's.

The best coffee I've ever had was at home. I medium-light roasted some Kona beans and French pressed it.
I read somewhere that even Howard Schultz, founder of Starbucks, prefers French press.

I don't drink coffee much. But in terms of coffee PLACES, there's Pacific Coffee, Seattle's Best, and Starbucks, while I also like the good old Canadian standby, Tim Hortons! (I go there for food and the occasional ice cappuccino during summer)
