Film Review -- Jackass

If there was ever a reason to understand why the rest of the world hates America, this movie embodies it. From a bunch of guys sitting around in a hotel room applying a muscle stimulator to their gootch, to a man having a toy car shoved up his sphincter and walking into a clinic to get xrayed, this movie has become the reason Americans are laughed at by other countries.

In true to form Jackass cult fandom, this movie goes beyond the limits of what MTV would allow. This is almost a cult hit for the teenagers and young 20somethings in America.

some of the stupidest, disgusting shit i've ever seen.

Some of it was funny, the jokes and hellraising but the gross piss and shit humor is a little overboard for me.

Shoving stuff like toy cars up your ass is pretty weird.

I thought that Tom Green movie "Freddy got Fingered" was the worse movie i've ever seen besides "Dude Where's my Car"

it's 'bathroom/toilet humor...' what'd u expect, stand up? i agree some of it pretty outlandlish and fucked up..just made me say, "somethin wrong w/those cats..." but otherwise, i found it to be entertaining.... :blush:

man, i thought it was funny as hell. especially the humvee tattoo and golfing airhorn scenes. god... i was crying cuz i was laughing so hard.

yea, it was some crazy stuff, but u gotta give those guys credit: it took a lot of imagination to come up with some of the stuff they did. sure they could have put that imagination to better use somewhere, but it sure as hell was funny.

Either way, when I see that show, I always think "oh, God, this is what America's coming to these days...." But I still get a kick out of watching it. It's not as bad as Jerry SPringer.

yeah, but you can't sit there and blame the media for you or your sons stupidity..... That it totally ludicrous... the guys of Jackass are basically overgrown 15 year olds... they do stuff that 15 year olds would think up in general.... but they get money thrown at them from MTV befcuase it is exactly would their target audience is.... then they get more money thrown at them for a movie, which even though it is rated R, is still going to be watched by 15 year olds....

A teenager died while practicing what police say was a stunt he and a friend had seen in the movie "Jackass."

Stephen Paul Rauen, 15, was ejected from the top of a friend's car Monday after he jumped onto the hood, Police spokesman Jeff Arbogast said.

When the driver hit the brakes, Rauen hit the pavement, then was run over and dragged a short distance.

"We had reports the individuals had done it before," Arbogast said.

Police interviewed the driver Monday evening, but Arbogast said it was too early to say whether criminal charges would be filed.

"Jackass: The Movie," which opened in October, is based on the MTV show of the same name. Creator Johnny Knoxville has said the goal of his kamikaze comedy is to make people laugh, and he has no message besides, "Don't try this at home."
