Just finished watching this film: a story about a chinese village under Japanese occupation at the end of ww2.....

winner of the grand prize at the cannes film festival.....

and, it's banned in mainland china.

produced, directored by Jiang Wen (he also starred in it), very impressive art house type film.

I rent it from the public library in downtown minneapolis.

Don't know where I can buy it...probably some obscure online store or amazon....I really want to buy it.
