acting differently, asian girls and white girl

am i the only asian guy around here that finds it easier to approach white girls than asian girls?

Do you mean romantically? Or do you mean in an aquaintance sort of way?

If you mean the former, yes white girls are more friendlier and more approachable than Asian girls generally (of course, that in itself would depend upon whether the white girl is open minded or not). Of course, I think that there are exceptions in every case but that's the general case with me.

I like 'em both equally as much as I like any other ethnicity, but as a hapa, when I approach ot talk with Asian women I always feel like I'm being sized up for my Asian-ness and that's a little bit, well, irritating, maybe even daunting. Or maybe i'm just paranoid.

Well I can say that I find both people equally approachable. The only problem is when they have a superority complex, in which they believe they're better than you. So I doubt it's the race thing that bothers ppl, just the personality. At least that's the case for me.

I find Asian girls to be more friendly than white girls actually. But, then again, there aren't many Asian girls around here and I know most of them pretty closely. The white girls around here are mostly sorority sluts or something of that nature.

I've always found girls of any race somewhat hard to approach, at least where I grew up.

Romantically, maybe Asian girls are harder to approach dead cold. I've found them to be somewhat colder or more distant. Maybe its because I smell bad or something when I approach Asian girls :D

White girls I've always been able to approach and start a conversation at least. It generally never goes anywhere, but the approach is usually easier. I don't get stonewalled at the beginning as much. Maybe white girls don't view me as a threat initially or something, so the defenses aren't put up as early.

Latin girls are really friendly though. I've never had any problem starting a conversation with one I've been interested in.

<shrug> its hard to generalize. All girls are so different, regardless of race.

Always with an honest opinion.

Me personally, well, I really don't have any problem approaching anyone. BUT I can tell you, I will always recieve weird vibes. But I expect nothing less. Both usually tend to be friendly with me. White girls are a lot more quick to hook up, which I don't like. While Asian girls tend to want to take their time more, GOOD. Asian females tend to want to be your friend, after you approach them. While white females, it is a one hit kill thing. If you approach them to "hook up", and you fail. They won't be your friend.

I think a lot of this has to do with where these white women come from, but I've found it much easier to have pleasant conversations with Asian women. They don't flirt very well, but they'll at least talk to me. White women cop an attitude around me like I need to prove that I'm not Long Duc Dong or something. In my experience, los whiteys are the ones more likely to assume that you fulfill a whole bunch of negative nerd stereotypes and treat you with less respect and attention. It's incredibly irritating.

I hope I'm not coming across wrong. We're all the same bunch of stinkers. We just look different on the outside. If it was up to me, we'd have all interbred into one ugly mix of humanity chow by now.

I pretty much agree. I find it's easier to talk w/ Asian girls because they don't stereotype you as much. I've found the only Asian girls that do (stereotype Asian guys) have some sort of axe to grind against Asian guys at any rate, and I would, of course, want absolutely nothing to do with them.

at any rate, i actually think that on the average, white girls have less misconceptions about asian guys. they 1) think you're no different just because of race, or 2) are careful not to think you're different because of race, or 3) are just plain ignorant (as in unknowing, not stupid) about asian people. of course this is not to imply that there are no racist white girls either.

well not to sound like another whiny asian boy, but i have been rejected by an asian girl who later told me that she doesn't date asian guys. but this has never happened with white girls.

I think most people who receive a certain reaction, illicit it themselves. Could be a type of self-fulfilling prophecy? You feel you get along better with a certain type of people so your confidence levels are higher etc....

I don't really notice much of a difference between who I talk to and the responses I get. I'm pretty open to anyone.
