looks pretty cool, now available through verizon.
Looks pretty cool. Too bad Verizon's always using their own crappy UI software.

I guess I will just never get over my preference for flip phones. I am holding out for a new Motorola flip.

If you count the rumors that were about what would eventually be Moto's ROKR phone, it's closer to two years.

You can read the Cnet.com review for the chocolate by searching for it on the site. (I can't post links yets. ._.)
"Though the LG Chocolate is a beautifully designed and offers a respectable mix of features and performance, it doesn't quite live up to the hype."
Well, it looks good from far away...

looks ugly
I've played with the phone at the Verizon store and have since come to the conclusion that it ain't that special. First, it's handicapped by the shitty Verizon software. Second, the touch sensitive "buttons" on the front panel are gimmicky and tactiley unfulfilling.
So that pretty much leaves gadget freaks with zero cool phones available on Verizon. I really want to ditch Verizon but now my fiancee is locked into a two year contract and since we're doing the semi-long distance thing, and 9:00 evening calling just won't cut it, I've got to stick with 'em for the free mobile to mobile. Sucks.

this is apparently the successor to the chocolate phone,
named "shine" for its stainless steel casing.
