I'll wager that a highly tweaked build of XP could run faster than normal XP also. As for that voice recognition, it's kinda peculiar, considering that the voice recognition that comes with XP/MS Office 2003 works pretty well.

There goes the price of my MS share. :)

Yeah that is odd.
I used to use the voice recognition on my tabletPC
to take lecture notes in class.

I just sat in the front seat and pointed the mic towards the professor.

I run a highly tweaked version of XP. I'm an early adopter though and I don't think I'd be able to stay away from Vista. I don't need voice recognition. I like the new calendar feature. If there are no major problems at release, I'll be running it.

Did any of you guys watch the WWDC keynote by Steve Jobs?

They did a side-by-side comparision of Vista and Tiger to show how Microsoft developers at Redmond essentially "photcopied" features of OSX into their upcoming Vista. Was pretty funny; and this included that "new" calender feature. Lol.

*nix: (pointing to 'Spaces') I believe you have borrowed something of mine.
Xerox PARC: (pointing to windows-icon-mouse-pointer GUI) We want our stuff back too.
Windows: (pointing to prefetching, virtual memory, background defragging) Ahem.

And get back to me when OSX finally supports A2DP profile o people can use their stereo Bluetooth headphones with it. I might get a MacBook when they work out the numerous kinks, but only if they work out A2DP.

Vista's new headache (http://www.twit.tv/sn51). Why would they create a new stack?

If you were going for sound quality, A2DP might not be the best choice. :) I like the idea of wireless earphones but probably only try it with good headphones and a decent wireless system. The ones performers use on stage are an option. Not sure if any high end companies like Sennheiser make wireless systems.

I have a HS820 that I'm using with my phone; with mp3, not much is going to be lost. Go check out the Apple forums. A lot of people are asking for them to use a Bluetooth stack that supports it.

HAHAHAHA I still say 95 did it. Microsoft has a history of presentation failures btw.

Meanwhile, they had to switch machines during Jobs' keynote, but does anyone make fun of that? Nope.
