I just like to post my frustration about my own stupidity.

I've been having insane BSOD stability issues since i rebuilt my computer. AMD FX53 / 1gb ram / Geforce 6800 / GA-K8n PRO SLI mobo.

Of course the first thing your supposed to and if you have any brain cells at all is check for a BIOS update. (Durrr) So I went to the website and it didnt seem like anything significant changed in the bias update. it just said "updated CPU ID". Since it recognized my cpu just fine.. I was like nah... can't be THAT.

So I spent a full day testing to see if my memory was bad due to the BSOD.

Then I took it apart to check to see if it was my CPU overheating (Bios temp said 89 celsius!) but it was fine. So then I replaced the northbridge passive heatsink with an active one... Still crashes.

So FINALLY I just decided to put in that BIOS update that didnt seem to have much changed in its "history" file.

but bam afterwards. No more issues.
Even boots and POSTs way faster.
I'm to my Windows 2003 Desktop in like 4 seconds.

Moral of the lesson:
The more you know. The more stupid you really are.
