M. Night returns with a veageance, apparantly. The Village sucked the chrome off a tailpipe in my opinion, but this one appears to be a little more straightforward.

^sorry dear, we don't use the word "gay" to describe anything here. ok?

as for the movie, i kinda want to see this. maybe not tomorrow, when it comes out. there will be too many annoying people screaming. i don't scream at movies.

I'm going to see it as soon as reviewers confirm there's no cheesy attempt at a twist.

No twist in an M. Night movie? Are you kidding? You know better than that.

Which means I probably won't go see this movie.

After his last failures, he promised no twist, but I'm not holding my breath.

Lady in the Water was shot by Wong Kar-Wai’s usual cinematographer, Christopher Doyle!

 sorry.

I don't think it's scary at all. It basically about this woman who lives underwater... and this wolf... trying to kill her and the rest of the people must protect her first before she can protect them/... wat was that?!!! so yeah that's why i have no interest to watch this movie at all. lame:wink:

Word is that this joint tries to create a new sort of mythology and maybe half succeeds only in that its ambition overshadows its narrative shortcomings. In other words, it might not make sense, but it won't be boring. I've shelled out for lesser flicks that don't even try to be different from the cookie-cutter schlock that they are, so...I'll go see it.

Most of the complaints have agreed that a lot of the characters are blatant stereotypes. Fat, loud hispanics, and shrill, broken english asian women. And stoners. Can't forget stoners.

^---the white community will be outraged for sure.

From what I hear he plays himself, or at least a trumped up version of himself in which he's like the master storyteller of all space-time or some shit

I saw the movie. It was OK, boring at times. It didn't really keep me on the edge of my seat or anything. There was NO twist ending this time around, which I prefer. The twist ending became such a novelty that M. Knight can do without in my opinion.

how bad were the asian caricatures?
