i also got a creepy asiaphille vibe from him. it was weird how he would first introduce himself by saying he's from taiwan, comment on the feng shui of the apartment, and finally pick the asian model. but, as we all know, if you're gay then you can't be an asiaphille ;)

lots of people are angry about it. Alison is quite cute. plus she is a very nice person.

have you seen the Wikipedia article on the show? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Runway_%28season_3%29

anyway, according the girlfriend, you have to read a bunch of Project Runway blogs and forums to get the full scoop on what really happened.

Like what? If your gf could give us a summary of all this, it would be greatly appreciated.

can you cryptics stop talking in code and spell out what happened for us who aren't forced into telebondage?

Oh, just stuff like when they showed Laura lighting into Vincent at the end of the show, it wasn't just Laura going off apropos of nothing. It was edited to look that way. *All* the designers were pissed and yelling at Vincent after he told them he purposely had his model walk down the catwalk super slowly, the better to show off his "awt" for the judges. In Tim Gunn's podcast he says his "brain was bleeding" at the end of the walk.

There are a lot of blogs and PR related fansites with little nuggets like this that help give you more insight as to what goes on. I'm finding that this season they are really editing with a sledgehammer.

And how about last night's episode? I can't say I'm surprised by Robert's auf'ing (boring IS the kiss of death), but VINCENT? WINNING? The only thing that helps this bitter pill go down is that he won something before Jeffrey did.

ETA: Here are some of the sites I read.

Thanks. I read those sites last season, but really haven't been keeping up this season. TWOP always digs up some good dirt, but those threads on an individual topic can run up to 50+ pages sometimes.

I never watched season 1, but last season's show was one of my favorites shows along with the much lamented early cancelation of Reunion. I would end up watching repeats of the show and I would go read the different blogs and forums to catch any crumbs of new info about the show and the characters.

This season has just not been aesthetically pleasing. Last season, the designers were so full of joie de vivre that you couldn't help root for them. Even the designated villian, Santino, was so funny and charming that I wanted him to win. Even Zulema brought something to the table with the way everybody reacted to her motherfuckin' walkoff. This season has just left me cold. I'll still watch it, but it hasn't been the same. I don't bother to read all those other PR related sites. Nobody has really interested me characterwise. And, the designers seem weaker compared to last year considering where we are in terms of the competition.

I liked Season 2 better, too. The personalities this year range from ho-hum to downright hostile to just uncomfortable to watch. Even Tim seems impatient most of the time.

Not to get all, "Oh, our salad days when it was all about the clothes!" but...really. Who honestly gave a shit about Angela and Jeffrey?
