Any tips for playing Starcraft over battlenet?

Im getting my butt whooped..

I play as the zergs and im more concerned with getting updates to lurkers.....and then all of a sudden, alot of terrans come lashing out at me ..

Any working tips for Zerg player here?

have u tried using a different race? it doesnt sound like youre having a lot of luck with the zerg. i personally prefer protoss. but yeah some basic tips: every race has different detectors for invaders, such as missle turrets. the zerg have a unit, i think its overlords but i might be wrong, i havent used zerg in ages, thats moves around and can find out where enemies are. send those out. upgrade ur tech constantly and be sure to have units guarding ur perimeters.

i forgot to mention, if ur connections laggy that could also trip u up. hope this helps.

then its solely ur strategy. if u keep failing with the same one id say its time to try something new.

well, with the zerg, your main strength is gonna be w/your speed and the ability to overwhelm by swarming the other person before they can get enough defense up. if you're waiting till you get lurkers to attack then you really shouldn't be using the zerg. normally when i play w/the zerg, i just get a crapload of hydralisks and just maul the other ppl. depends on if you're playing rush/no rush though.

Yea, thats what other people would do if they had zergs, swarm other players...so i need alot of zerlings?

yeah, just enough to screw them up... if you're not going for the kill, just taking out some supply depots or something really messes w/their timing and money.

i use zerg all the time. your best bet is to load up on money and build a crap load of hatcheries, when u have all those and a crap load of drones to get u minerals and gas. you build a crap load of hydralisks. now ur lurkers shouldn't be as much as ur hydralisks cause then ur shooting urself in the foot because they take up more men and are as slow as the overlords. while u do that build the mutalisks and change them into those crabs things and those shrimp things and u'll kick ass.

Lurkers are pain in the ass, because the terran missle turrets can detect them...
