But I came across a situation:

This (supposedly regular, but whacked white) dude at the local coffee shop was going on-and-on about "Asians eat monkey-brain, Asians eat monkey-brain, Asians eat monkey-brain" to the coffee dude behind the counter.

I felt like telling the hippy-freak to STFU. But instead, after he went his way with his roughed-skinned face, I told the counter coffee dude, instead, "I wonder what part of the monkey he's been suckin'." :frown:

you know, for some reason, i always say "monkey brains" when people ask what a particular dish is. i have no idea why. i think it started when my hapa cousins were little and i wanted to trick/scare them. it worked and i guess it just stuck with me. but i only do it to people i know, not strangers cuz they JUST might believe me.
it also doesn't help that in the first indiana jones movie, monkey brains were served. *shivers*

anyone ever have pig brains before? i had some at a hot pot restaurant in china. creeped me out to eat it, but it didn't taste bad. still, i'd take a will of effort to eat it again.

i eat sheep's and cow's brains sometimes like in a taco or something. they're good, it's the sweet meat. never heard of monkey brains.

Yep - now see in the original thread that someone else mentioned the movie, too...

and the link that denounces the film as a fake...been too long since I've seen it, but it looked real at the time.

And I'm still thinking the rabbits being skinned alive was real...I threw away my Adirondack pelts after that.
