I went to Wal-Mart today and lo and behold, they had Franken Berry and Boo Berry, both for two bucks each. I had to check the date to make sure they weren't just pawning off old ass cereal on customers, and it was on the up and up. So of course I had to buy some. Those two are my favorites as far as ones I've eaten from childhood on up. What might yours be?

^YOU ARE CORRECT SIR!!
i've never had either of those, terry. growing up, my dad wanted to keep us on a healthy track, so nothing technicolor was allowed. but at my grandma's....now that was a different story. froot loops, lucky charms, capn crunch, all that good stuff. i really liked froot loops cuz it turned the milk rainbow colors.
There are many cereals that I've enjoyed over the years--Corn Pops, Honey Nut Cheerios, Crispix, Cap'n Crunch, Apple Jacks, Kix, Fruity Pebbles, etc. But only one stands above all the rest: Rice Krispies and Cocoa Krispies.

Yeah, you're right.
Lately, I'm not that picky, so long as the two for five-dollar sales on the name brands jive with me.
I'll take the stuff with cranberries and sweet almonds.

As a kid, I liked "Freakies" cereal because of the cool toys they had. I also think the Freakies were the inspiration for "The Smurfs" in a roundabout sort of way.
Today, I'm a Grape Nuts guy and occasionally enjoy Kelloggs Raisn Bran or plain 'ol Corn Flakes.
^ freakies? never heard of it.
i remember my dad bought grape nuts one time and i tried it, thinking it would taste sweet, with grapes and nuts. boy, was i wrong.

The ever trendy cereal bars that are located around the country have just gotten a new customer. I checked it out earlier today downtown, and ordered a mixture of Count Chocula, Reese's Puffs, and the semi defunct franken berry, all while watching spongebob on random flat screens around the bar. Impressive stuff, I tells ya.
^do they let people in with their jammies?

i'm still waiting for a cereal restaurant to pop up near me. how big are the servings and how much? i'd be in heaven if it was a cereal buffet!!!. hehe, it would be reminiscent of dorm breakfasts in college but i wouldn't mind. me = cereal fiend...unless it tastes like cardboard.

Not near you, but here's Cereality (http://www.cereality.com). The original is in Philadelphia. I went there when it first opened and I was spending a summer in Philly. I suspect the Chicago branch is the one Terry went to.

Man... it's so lame here that we still don't have some of the a quarter of the food outlets that the rest of the world has.
D'you guys know that there's only one friggin' Krispy Kreme and that's in Sydney. We seem to be infected with a bad case of Gloria Jeans and Starbucks for some reason though.
Is there some sort of topical cream that we could apply?

I like Kashi Good Friends cereal because each box has a creepy picture of two people with their heads glued together in a never ending unearthly smile.
That and it's high in soluble fiber.

My taste buds are bored and I'm looking for something crunchy and sweet to go with milk. Gimmie a cereal to try for a week. Shouldn't be more than $4.00 a box though, thanks.
