yep, as students, it's our prerogative to procrastinate. as a matter of fact, i'm procrastinating right now. lately, my preferred method of procrastination has been going through various xanga pages as well as posting on discussion boards such as this one and rbj. so, how do you guys procrastinate? let us know so we can try it out if we run out of ideas for ourselves. :lol:

PINKY and BRAIN both procrastinate. we're trying to concoct a motivation potion, though. shhhhhh. that's a secret. don't tell anyone.

1. Clean, organize, and straighten up my room.
2. Remove unnecessary icons from my desktop and rearrange them nicely.
3. Lay out everything I wear or need in my pockets tomorrow neatly.
4. Do other homework assignments that are easy but are low on the priority list.
5. Check the LiveProfile database.
6. Create lists of things to do, by such-and-such date, etc.
7. Organize my buddy list.
8. Learn something that I've been meaning to but never got around to.
9. Fiddle with my skateboard or try a trick.
10. Check all my email accounts...
11. Do *something* with my aim profile.
12. Observe what my roommate is doing. hehe nik
13. Wear various combinations of my clothes and take pictures. (don't even think about asking for the pic of my all orange outfit...)
14. Chat with new people on my buddy list that I had been meaning to.
15. Twirl my pen around my finger in uncanny ways.
16. Make stupid lists like this.

Hmm... ways i procrastinate:
watch tv, listen to music, go to flash websites (like www.homestarrunner.com or www.ninjai.com) call up friends, play video games, eat food, draw, read something, daydream

there are other things, like plan out revenge for the people that wronged me, but I truthfully could never attain the 3.7 million dollars to form my own militia.... or can I?? :D

ah, how ironic! a thread about procrastination that itself further lends to the very effort it pertains to...

here are my top five ways of procrastinating:

5) actually doing other work, but work that is more "fun" and far less neccessary or urgent

4) working on job applications....which i guess is not technically procrastinating, but still.

3) tv. doesn't matter if it's crap or not, i'll watch it if i'm really desperate to avoid work.

2) cleaning! any sort! my room is so clean, hehe:)

1) and, of course, the internet. posting on message boards or in livejournal....but worst of all, the dreaded AIM. Alas.

How much am i *not* writing a paper about the evolution of the concept of anatman from its roots in early buddhism up to the present day? Very much not. I suck.

i can't function in a messy environment so i'll start cleaning.. then i'll read old letters and cards from friends.. then i'll start looking at pictures and before i know it.. 5 hours would pass by.

DAMN.

the thing with procrastinating is.. you worry about not doing what you should've done... sometime it'll keep me up at night preventing me from sleeping. of course, at that moment i can get up and do whatever it is that i should've done before but i don't... so i worry.. and worry.. and worry more.. all because i didn't do the laundry earlier that day.

princess aiko, spence should play no part in your decision to relocate yourself. please just trust me on this. when you go to college, you will be preyed upon by the older guys there because you're fresh meat. so if you really want to enjoy yourself, free yourself from any attachments (emotional or otherwise) and throw yourself into the college life.
