my friends are all about asian parties so we were choosing between the two big ones in the bay:

1) the a-list party at the westin st. francis in san francisco.

2) the 2 degrees party at the federal reserve building.

we decided on #2 - last last minute, as asians do.

what are you doing tonight?

gonna be picking up
my b/f later on around 4ish...
at the airport...
than were gonna be headed
to my dad's place
for a little gathering..
and i'll be cooking dinner tonight...
my dad and my b/f have never met
each other before...
so, this will be the first...

my dad's wife recently died...
so i figure he shouldnt be a lone this evening...
and that we both keep him company...
ringing in the new year...

eh, i guess its just gonna be
a low key evening...

It's the hardest night to decide what to do. So many options. All the parties are so expensive too so I will be pre-gaming tonight.

Went hopping between house parties. No chance in hell I'd go out into public last night, with all 7 million people in HK trying to pack into TST, LKF, or CWB.

Really, it's just another night, so I want to enjoy it, not commemorate it by having 7 people standing on my foot and spilling drinks down my shirt while I crane my neck trying to get a view of some crappy fireworks.

Well, my understanding of A-list is one where you are on a first-choice to attend list. Or it could be one's first choice of parties to attend.

Now, the other way of looking at it is that all A's (Asians) should be on that A-list.

You forgot the other big Asian party -- the one at City Hall.
