Today a guy I work and associate with dropped a bomb on me. He believe that every minority is trying to destroy the Caucasian race. He thinks that 75% of African American Hate Caucasians and commit 90% of the crime in the USA. He says 80% of the Asians in this country are secretly working for foriegn nations. He thinks that Mexico is trying to flood American with illegal immigrates so they can sabotage our economy and promote drug trafficing. Wait it gets beter. He also believe that the hate groups and supremacists you hear of are only a couple of idiots running around. He even claims to see the same people wearing different clothes. He says Caucasians mainly are accepting and respectful towards minorities (I too believe a large number of them are but not the % he's claiming.). When me my Korean, and Cubian coworkers heard this we were shocked to say the least (And wondering what he is smoking) He even wrote material on how minorities should better themselves and become me integrated into American society. (By now I was rolling with laughter.) The material he has he wants to publish it. (Why I don't know :rolleyes: ) This is just a summary he went more in depth in the conversation. Why didn't I go off on him (few years ago I would have.) he is just someone with a warped view of society. Trust me in his mind his views make perfect sense. He is from a small town and is taught to think a certain way. I don't think he is racist just misinformed. He has weird views on different races dating too. His younger sister is marrying an Asian American. The guy has live here all his life and so has he mom and dad. But he says its a culture difference and won't work. He says he won't condemn their marriage but he does not approve of it and secretly hope she leaves him. Another blow to his pride is a girl he liked for year decided to go off with a Black British med student instead of him. He thinks she just wants to do something different and their thing won't last. It is crazy when you think about the fact that are many people in this country of all races who are vastly misinformed. Not saying that they are racist but the things their believe are gospel. Well its enough to make a sane and competent person go crazy because they deem that peron's asinine rhetoric intolerable. I am going to email it to my cousin he like topics like these I just posted it to see what you guys think.

i don't know how he came up with the percentages there, but i think you'd be surprised at how many white people in the US hold seemingly harmless views on race relations but really think that white people are somehow being victimised by the minority population.

Did you ask him for the specific criteria he uses to determine if a person is a "Caucasian"?

and for some reason there are people who think academia is some kind of a left-wing stronghold..
there are "third-world patriarchal societies" which have more tenured female professors at their universities than we do.
i think the people who say academia is the left-wing stronghold say this because to them, the ideas that racism exists and that minorities should have equal rights are "radical" ideas.
