i know some of you guys are protective over girls after reading posts about not getting into fights when girls are around, etc.
do you guys think you'll be protective dads? how would you react if a 20 year old were dating your 13 year old daughter? be careful of how you respond - it could get your daughter taken away from you. and it could get her shot and sent to prison.
in re anna guo.

....very interesting question.... can't wait to see what the guys post...
I would remove the door to her bedroom. j/k
I'm with Bunboy: first and foremost go after the fucked up child molester. As for my daughter, hmmm...that's a tough one there.
By the way, what was the full extent of Anna's punishment? And what are the different accounts?

why would a 13 year old be interacting with a 20 year old on her own, in the first place? where did anne meet this 20-year-old guy? did any of anne's friends know of their relationship? what race was the guy?

I always joke with my girlfriend that if we have a daughter, I'm going to hang my big Chinese sword on the living room wall in full display in a locked glass case.
Sometime I may strategicly take it out to sharpen while my daughter's date is over, making sure he can see.
It may sound like a joke, but I'd sure as hell go after the 20 year old first. Statutory rape is a felony after all. If the punk's not afraid of me, he better be afraid of prison rape.

if any guy is taking my little girl out, he better come ring the door bell at my house and introduce himself to me first. <_<

i dunno...i know i should be sympathetic to my daughter, but i can't say 100% i wouldn't beat her or even kick her out of the house. Logically, I wouldn't do that, but emotionally, I'm not sure.
I dunno if I would go after the guy cuz i may not be able to do much about other ppl anyway, but that's why i got fr friends the chinatown dailous. ;)

Being a single dad makes it a whole new ball game. But, I would go after the 20 year old guy first via the authorities. Try to keep my emotions in check and try and talk to her.
But remember, I was raised via traditional style Chinese "hard knock" punishment style. And in some instances it works and in some instances it doesn't work.
It's definitely harder for a single dad raising a daughter. The dad is human too and will make mistakes in dealing with her issues.
True that....
But it's hard to say for sure what was 100% going through anna's dad's head when he found out about that 20 something guy, mainly cuz most of us are born here and don't know for sure what's going thru dads' heads.....
on the other hand, i'd regulate on the 20 yr old naturally......then figure some way to teach my lil girl how NOT to attract ppl that much older than her at that age........

I'd warn the guy off my daughter and if I ever saw him within 20 feet of her then I'd chop his balls off.

I don't have a daughter, but I do have a little 13-year-old sister....I worry about 14 and 15-year-olds talking to her.
20-year-old guys? Yeah I got a little mini wooden bat from a minor league game I went to a while ago. It's small, but it's a bat and it's wooden just like like a regular one, so when it collides with some guy's head..........you got it, dude, same results. Some fool's head will be cracked fo sho!
Normally, I'm a nonviolent person, but alas, when you're threatened.........

I've got 2 9 year old and one 7 year old female cousins. In a few years when they're early teens and some 20 year old goes anywher near them in any sexual or romantic way, I'd take the sword and threaten the dude's balls. THey're like little sisters to me, I gotta take care of em.

Whenever I'm with a girl out or something I'm really really protective, doesnt matter if its my mom or sister or a friend.

Girls can protect themselves, too. When I'm with a guy, sometimes I get protective.

I think it's natural for a guy to feel like he has a responsiblity to protect a female. Instinct, maybe?
But yeah, with women's lib and all girls have been learning to do a lot of things for themselves, including defending themselves.
But of course there's nothing wrong with a girl defending herself, especially if they're by themselves.
Girl power! :P
