Anna Guo Needs Your HELP!

If you'd like to help out in getting 14 year-old Anna Guo out of jail and back to her father, let us know! At this point we're looking for people to do any one of the following:

1) Contribute an article or feature type story on the incident;
2) Work with us to coordinate which non-Asian, relevant groups to enlist;
3) Start getting the word out there by hitting up other bulletin boards!! You can refer them to the http://anna.yellowworld.org site.

There are a ton of other things you can do to help! Don't be shy! !

Wait I'm confused...if she was trying to stab herself...why exactly did the cops shoot her 3 times?...

I mean a 14 year old with a knife can't exactly be a threat to a bunch of large male cops...

do you happen to know a way to get the address of the courthouse so that people can write letters to this judge? If you can let me know what it is, that would be great! I will send it out, with the story attached, via all-campus email at my college and get as many people as possible to write.

i think thats the point.. the only person she tried to harm was herself... which is why.. there is this whole campaign for ppl to get involved in when trying to help get her released... and to get the truth out... This 14 year old girl shouldnt have to be punished for the cops misconduct...

yes. please write a letter to the district attorney asap - on behalf of yourself or even an organization you belong to if they consent.

check http://anna.yellowworld.org for a form letter that you can just copy or use as a guideline. the address is located on the form letter as well.

letters must be sent asap as trial will commence on Thursday, Nov 14 unless a continuance is granted.

Please write a letter to district attorney Gregory D. Totten to request that he reexamine the evidence for police misconduct and exonerate Anna of the assault charge.

A form letter is located at http://anna.yellowworld.org/volunteer.php the address of the district attorney's office is stated therein. Feel free to use this letter as guidance or to download and use completely. Just remember to fill in the appropriate blanks.

Remember, the trial begins on the 14th. We need to send the letters out asap. A letter from you or your organization will count!

today i got a letter from the DA, to whom i wrote a letter about this several weeks ago.

it said:
"Dear Ms. [mylastname],
I received your letter regarding the prosecution of Anna Guo. Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention.
