Could be interesting, even if done before.
Plot Summary: Sanaa Lathan plays an African-American professional who's well aware that 42.4% of her race never gets married. Determined to find love, she falls for a white landscaper.

it's a little difficult to believe that someone who looks like Sanaa Lathan has a 42.4% chance of never getting married. maybe they should have used someone who isn't so good looking.

This looks like a good watch, even if White Men Dating Black Women is hardly a big deal these days. Especially if he looks no-complaints hunky like Simon Baker.

I know what you mean. Sometimes an actor's/actress' physical beauty and attractiveness gets in the way of their characters, even if their acting skills are solid. It sometimes stretches plausibility factors, because what kinda problems are pretty people supposed to have versus us regular joes, right?
I mean, Sanaa almost got that Predator to kiss her in AVP...she could pull any guy she wants with that kinda moxie...

in all honesty though when is the last time you saw such a relationship onscreen besides Guess Who?
and as much as white supremacists like to bitch and moan, when's the last time you saw a black guy with a white woman and it wasn't a movie called "Black Guy with a White Woman: they said it couldn't be done"
yeah yeah broken record and all that but hey at least im not talking about the other thing

It's pretty rare to see BlackM/WhiteF anywhere even though they trail closely behind in numbers to WhiteM/AsianF,
42.4%??
Is that high?? What's the percentage for whites?

Rare?
Perhaps it varies by geographics because I've never seen Black/White as uncommon at all.

did you mean WM/BF? cause BM/WF is much more common than the reverse.

ok, statistically, i know BM/WF couples are more common than WM/BF couples. but in my experience, i haven't really seen more of one than the other.

i have def. seen more AF/WM than BM/WF
why am I bringing up this can of worms again? cuz the mainstream media makes a bigger hubbub about the latter than the former

What I mean is in the public arena-advertisements, movies-you never see blackm/whitef. They are almost as common as asianf/whitem but they don't exist except in the real world. There seems to be a push to hide that IR in some way.

Went to go see this yesterday as a review. Typical romantic comedy, only with the jokes being more race focused. She's an affluent black corporate shark, he's a white joe average gardener. They fall in love. Chaos ensues.
