Did anyone see the screening for this that took place on Nov 19 at the Imaginasian theater in NYC?
What were your thoughts about it?
I enjoyed it and found it to be interesting, particularly the stories of the lives of the various people outside of the parties.
I overheard some people commenting that it was a little slow in some parts.
For those of you outside of NYC, it might be showing at an upcoming film festival in your area, so sign up on the site for updates.

The one thing I miss by being in HK --- no opportunity to come out and show support for these kinds of films. Too bad, it sounds interesting, too.

MK Productions, SwerveNYC, and BaseNYC have a monopoly on the city’s Korean partygoers.
It isn't a monopoly then, is it?
Korean party scene, whose nerve center sits in Manhattan’s Koreatown at 32nd Street
No it doesn't. There hasn't been a real party on 32nd St. since Juliana's closed in the 90's.
Anyway, looks interesting, if only to see if me or my friends are in it.

lol juliana's and U.B.
the last time i was in juliana's was right after college graduation where my friends and i took a few girls from my brother's high school. one of them froze up cuz she was 16 or 17 years old when she couldn't cough up ID. i slapped her ass and told her to tell the bouncer it was her birthday. the bouncer told us we all can go in if we supervise them and make sure they didn't drink.
i guess the people from MK formed MK productions after MK shut down?

yes, that is correct - well, it was the promoters for MK who formed MK Productions

Dunno... something to ask the directors...
I guess they chose to focus on the Korean party scene (or parties attended by mostly Koreans), rather than be all-encompassing.
Speaking of XO, did anyone go to their Thanksgiving Eve party, which had the lingerie fashion show? Niiiice!
