Our friend says she got called to be an extra.
She lives a few miles away, but her modeling agency called her for an extra bit in San Francisco's Chinatown, I think.
She says, "Look for me, I'm on a bus scene." She'll also be in some other scenes.
After the initial feeling of coolness for her, I got to thinking: Why would this movie need to hire an extra from an agency for a Chinatown bus scene? What's wrong with using the locals?
She's middle-aged. Nice looking. But without knowing who else the other extras will be on the bus, I'm hesitant to say that the movie makers just want to fill the bus with appealing Asians. But it makes me wonder.
