heard about this band on npr yesterday. they have an interesting sound. their label is "web of mimicry" which is not in riaa's list of member labels, so i'm getting their cd. u can listen to some of their songs at the link below.

Dengue Fever: 'Escape from Dragon House'
Day to Day, November 3, 2005 · Sarah Bardeen reviews Escape from Dragon House, a new CD from the group Dengue Fever. The six-member band fuses Cambodian pop with psychedelic rock, creating an only-in-California sound that's gaining new fans with each gig.
It's the second CD from the unique band, formed when five band mates discovered their lead vocalist, Chhom Nimol, singing at a nightclub in a Cambodian neighborhood of Long Beach, Calif.
Nimol, part of a family of famed musicians from Cambodia, only recently moved to the United States and her English-language skills are limited. But that hasn't limited the band's growing popularity.
