You know I have to check out every animation movie that comes out. Disney's first attempt to be like Pixar...hopefully it's funny enough for the adults.

I saw a sneak preview of this and while technically it sort of resembles a Pixar movie (more like a cheap knock-off) they are still lightyears behind. The movie is too superficial and it's perfect for those with short attention spans. While it got a lot of laughs in the theater I don't think adults will enjoy it quite as much as the kids will. It tries to be witty and warm but just comes off as annoyingly analytical and sappy. What I do like about the movie is it's take on the original story. Plus there were some pretty interestingly creative scenes showing how Chicken Little gets around obstacles with his small stature. I like Zack Braff but him as Chicken Little really got on my nerves. I didn't like any of the characters except for the fish but even he was annoying at times. The movie just tries too hard and doesn't deliver. It got really tiring after a while.

My bosses' son loved it, then again, he's pretty young. I haven't seen a movie in a theater, the only one I'm looking forward to is Jarhead.

Still got King Kong and Harry Potter I guess. I'm a sucker for the animated flicks though, so you know how it is. You're from Chicago? Finally, someone else from the area.

Oh yeah, no doubt kids will like this movie. The adults...not so much I think. Interesting about the 3D aspect of it though. So is it true that all of Disney's next animated films will be 3D?

Don't forget Narnia (also suprisingly by Disney)!!

No 'Chicken Little' - Kids see suicide

A Times Square movie theater laid an egg at a showing of "Chicken Little" last night.
Adults and kids expecting to watch Disney's G-rated animated flick at the AMC Empire 25 theater on 42nd St. were instead presented with a foreign film that opened with a young man committing suicide.

"It's pandemonium," Joshua Gallo, 30, told the Daily News as he rushed out of the theater with his 5-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter. "The kids are crying. The mothers are screaming for the managers to stop the film."

Terrified children didn't know what to do as they watched a young boy hang himself from a tree at the 8:45 p.m. screening.

After five minutes, "Andrea," a Spanish drama opening today, was turned off and "Chicken Little" was played.

Patrons got a coupon for a free movie.
