Hi there.

I come to discuss! Yes, I'm an anglo and I hope to bring another point of view to the table.

So thanks for having me... or something

welcome...
other points of view are accepted...
but just remember...
what this site is all about...
and whose voice gets priority...

thanks...

I know what this site is about and thanks for the welcome, however to suggest my voice gets a lesser "priority" is a suggestion that I don't belong here. If this is the case I'll gladly withdrawal my registration.

If I'm completely misunderstanding you then that's my fault, and thanks for the hello!

i believe you understand and misunderstand...
you misunderstand if you perceive me as
not welcoming non asians...
cuz i welcome non asian participation here...

altho i feel ppl should keep in mind...
this site is centered, catered towards
us asians and our voice first...
yw, being a place for us
asians to come together,
discuss, debate, learn from each other...

while you and any other non asian are able
to add to a discussion, give a different point of view...
ppl like yourself should be mindful when to speak up...
and when to just listen...
and take the back seat...
thats all...

All it means is that your point of view as a non-Asian on topics involving Asians doesn't supercede Asian input. Not a suggestion that you can't participate. We have a variety of non-Asians on the site. Some work out. Some don't. Depends on the person and probably why they're here in some cases, if not most.

FYI: You can't really withdraw your registration. You'd have to either just opt to not use your account or have it banned.

That's cool. I know my role.

I have very little knowledge of how former/current non-Asian members here contribute but I don't intend on superseding anyone's input-- Asian or otherwise. Most of us have probably have shared different life experiences but that doesn't mean we can't try to understand each other.

You might have the wrong idea of my intentions here, but that's fine, I don't mind feeling like I have something to prove! :P

(I hope this doesn't sound too defensive because I'm not trying to be!)

Doesn't sound like much of a welcome, more like pre-judging. Sorry, my 2 cents.

Welcome to YW, traversing. I'm also a noobie!
