Who here is a gamer. Lately, I've been playing some of the old NES games from the 80's on my laptop, like Mike Tyson's Punch Out and Bionic Commando. I also have Athena, Zelda 2 Adventure of Link and Double Dragon 3. I know some people who grew up on Playstation would probably think these games suck but I think they're fun. Does anyone else here "retro" game? What do you play if you do?

Burgertime, Galaga, Star Castle, Paperboy, Dig Dug, Frogger, to name a few. I don't play many new games, they seem so convoluted and hard to learn. There's nothing more appealing to my primal instincts than keepin a frog alive crossing the road!

Anyone remember the game for NES where you start off as a small "ship" then you attach legs and a body and head?

I've been playing retro-RPGs on my PS1...Final Fantasy VII still rocks my socks! Haven't seen the movie yet, though.

That game will always rock! It's a timeless classic.

True old school head here...Robotron 2084, Sinistar, Joust, Stargate, Tempest, Qix. Ahhh, takes me back to when it was all so simple...
I loved "Raiden," too. All those vertical-scrollers where you fly a plane and there's no limit to how far you can "power-up" when you catch the specials and have to face the stage bosses. Shit, remember when it was ALL about "stage bosses?" And 16-bit graphics? Sheeeeit...

I was a Burgertime and Punch Out addict.
Both of my games freeze at the second round now.
I like Centipede.

Famicom and its games were much more popular and cheaper than Nintendo in HK. originally they used cartridges like Nintendo. then they made an add-on system that used 3 1/2" floppy disks and had built-in memory for you to save your games on, and then each game costed about $3 USD each. plus you could easily copy the games to other disks. they also made a converter for you to play Nintendo game cartridges on the Famicom.
