I tried searching for a thread on this movie but couldn't find one. Anyway, who saw this movie and what did you think?
It's good for breaking stereotypes and great because Asians produced, directed and acted, etc. It was kind of boring though.

Great movie, I doubt blacks, whites or latinos could have gotten away with that shit. :) You got to see it.

Alot of my friends dismissed the movie as a movie about a bunch of gangster wanna-bes.

Didn't like it much. Seemed like just a bunch of stereotypical Asian nerds that did the unlikely out of angst.

Good movie!
It's kind of almost like a teenage angst type movie/

I like the part where the elder brother beat his younger one up. That was tight.

I thought it was very good for the fact that it was unique however it was flawed. My biggest problem was the pacing and slight inconsistencies with character motivation. Still a film worth recommending.

hmm... never heard of that movie.. was it at the movies? Maybe NZ just didn't think it was a 'good-enough' movie to be played

Too expensive apparently. There was hopes of screening it at the local film festival a few years back. I got via Amazon. It's worth viewing.

Ratings make it seem cool... dam can't afford it.. i don't even have a job
It's a good movie and a big step for Asian Americans in terms of film, media, perceptions, etc. Good thing that MTV took a gamble on this movie, but too bad they marketed it so horribly. It's worth a viewing in my opinion and definitely should buy it to support.
