be careful even when you have them out of the water and on the boat. they can still bite. do you have a good butcher or do you plan on cutting it up yourself? i don't see why you couldn't do it yourself. if you can operate, i'm sure you can handle butchering.

well from what i understand the shark will be dead by the time we hull it on onboard. someone will either harpoon it in the brain or shoot a slug in its brain.

i wouldn't mind cutting up the shark. but, i'm not sure how to cut it up without ruining the good cuts of meat. i love shark steaks. they're awesome.

i hear that reeling it in is an epic battle between man and beast. it can last for hours with every muscle fiber in your body twitching. now that's awesome.

i hear if you go big tuna fishing that there are people from sushi places waiting for you at the docks. they jam some plastic cylinder into the tuna to check the quality of the meat and pay you accordingly. you can actually make some decent money or at the very least cover the cost of gas for the trip.

make a necklace out of the teeth. but before you remove them press the jaw into part of your body and let it scar. you will then have a manly story about taking on a shark with your bare hands.

Once when I went fishing with my pap this guy caught a baby tiger shark, about 40cm, on the dock... the guy was supposed to catch fish i guess, but the guy took the shark in anyway and instead of 'shooting a slug in its brain', he stabbed a kitchen knife right in (through the forehead to the brain)... hurts seeing an animal suffer with a knife sticking out of its head

Are you going to need a bigger boat?

1. Chum stinks.

2. Chum is slippery. If you get it on your hands, wash and dry before you try to hold onto anything important... like your fishing pole. There's nothing more embarrasing than the kerplunk made by your rod hitting the water after it flies out of your slipper hands. ( And no, it didn't happen to me, but slippery gets annoying fast).

3. Know the strength of your line. Make sure your reel's automatic loose is set accordingly. A lot of sharks have incredible bursts of power that will snap your line if your reel doesn't cover for you.

4. Keep the rod vertical. Limp isn't good.

5. If you're threading your own line, make sure you have a good yard of steel leader attached to the hook.

it's pretty decent size from what i've been told.
