Colonial Education in Taiwan

Hi, I am a senior History Major at a college in Portland Oregon. I am writing my thesis on education in Taiwan during the period of Japanese colonialism. I am interested in collecting oral histories of students and teachers of this time period. The voices of both Taiwanese and Japanese teachers have been neglected in much of the historical records. I am especially interested in hearing stories regarding teachers or practices of education, as the limited sources I have found on this topic have led me to believe that teachers were not always so compliant with colonial ideologies of education. If anyone has any information that might help me find either individuals or groups of people to talk to, I would greatly appreciate it. This project would hopefully be undertaken in January.
