A friend of mine forwarded me a link to this website to sign the petition against the Kung Fool costume. While here, I had a look around and I really liked what I saw. I love the exchange of ideas, the friendly banter and even the occasional debate here, keeps the mind juices flowing!
I got so wrapped up in the discussions, I never properly introduced myself, so here goes. My first name really is Tawee, half my friends call me John, the other half call me Tawee (see the thread on Americanized names for more). I was born in Queens NY, and now live in Westchester NY.
I did my undergrad at SUNY Albany, where my pledge name was Chico (I don't get it either).I used to work for a dot.com company managing their fraud software, credit and security transactions. They picked up and moved to Seattle, so in the interim I've gone back to bartending and applying for the NYPD.
I love to read, anything I can get my hands on, from books, to magazines to comic books. I study martial arts, and I love to snowboard. I can't get enough of traveling and I used to ride a motorcycle until someone stole it (those bastards!)
Other facts -
I'm a Libra, I'm single, I like dogs and cats and I don't snore. I don't have a favorite color, my favorite movies are "Goonies" and "Excalibur". TV shows I watch are Friends, Law and Order, and NYPD blue. I love Chunky Monkey Ice-cream and I think Jennifer Love Hewitt is the sexiest women alive (Olson twins are close second). I love to cook, but don't ask me to cook Thai food cause I'll butcher it. I'm a bad Asian because I can't play the violin (despite 7 years of classes), I'm bad at math and I don't have a small penis. I can speak Thai fluently, but can't read or write it at all. I can't grow a goatee, but I can manage a cheesy moustache. I can walk on stilts and can juggle, but I can't do both at the same time. I was once an ordained monk in Thailand. I have a tattoo, and wear one earing (left ear).
