I went to two proms. I never truly liked any of the dances I go to because I'm usually the only one of two Asians there, and I felt like I had to fit in to belong. I hated the fact that I had to fit into some characteristic/clique in order to be apart of a group. In a way, I liked being the odd ball because every clique noticed me, but they also didn't completely accept me. It's weird b/c I was always voted as some sort of leader... student council rep, an exec officer, etc.... So, my classmates primarily looked at me in a respectful manner. I only had classmates in high school... not really friends who I hung around with all the time. Then again, it was high school, and all I did was study most of the time. I'm a geek. :D

my prom was a joke for me...
i couldnt get a date..
so i ended up going with one of my sister's guy friend that was nice enough to take me along...

and back than.. we had to vote for the prom king and queen.. and i thought the prom queen was so stuck up.. she didnt deserve him... yeah, i had a major crush on the prom king... so like... i just ended up all sour and bitter during my whole time...

i went to some dance with a bunch of my old middle school friends (who go to a diff school) and umm had a lotta fun just because they dragged me out to the dance floor and made me stay with them. i got pushed in the middle and like hrm a whole buncha other stuff.

at my friend's prom earlier this year i was on the phone half of the time. 1/2 of the time with spence, and the other 1/2 of the time with my best friend. other half of the time i was socializing with old time friends i hadn't seen in a long time. good times. it was fun.

my best friend met some guy at a party and he thought she was cute and drove from stockton or something like that to see her. 2 hours or so drive. he'd been waiting at a barnes and nobles with his friend from around 6 or 7 o'clock already for a few hours. she called me to ask what i thought she should do. "don't go without me. i don't want you getting raped." or something like that. told her that i couldn't leave cus i was at prom and that she'd have to wait til i got to my friend's house to change.. so like after that, i went out with her and those 2 guys. both of em were like shorter than me. muhehe. first threat i ever made in my life. "if you lay a finger on her, or touch her in any sexual manner, i will beat your fucking ass."

what do i do if i can't get a date to senior prom? :cry:

my senior prom was held at camp pendleton, largest marine base. we had mp's with assault rifles at the doors in the uso club where our dance was. good fun. nothing like being searched upon entrance of the club and having a marine point his gun in ur face. to top that night off, my date, my on and off gf decided to play me off as a friend 1/2 way through the time we were there. :pissed:

so i left her ass there, met a girl in the parking lot leaving her date, lol, and at least had some fun on the beach and made out till the sun came up. :dance:

not a complete waste of time, but i was kinda pissed at my gf (immediate ex upon dissin after she made me shell out 200 bux for pix.) <_<

Mine was annoying and complicated. I'd asked a hot girl that was a sophomore at the time and she was all excited, went out bought a brand new dress and everything. We weren't romantically involved at the time. Shortly after, I'd starting dating this other girl, she was a fox! I couldn't diss the first girl, since I'd already asked her, and she'd already spent a lot of money on this. My girlfriend at the time was pissed!!!

During the after prom my date got sloshed and went to the bathroom with another friend. While there, she tripped on her drunk ass, hit her chin on the sink and almost knocked herself out. When she came back she was a mess! I remember thinking 'WTF! how am I gonna take you home like that???"

Then on the way home, she leans over, so I'm thinking, oh no, she's making a move. Then she leans past me and sticks her head out the window. Then she starts puking out the window. I was holding the trash can once for a date that was puking. She had trouble sitting up, so I helped hold her up, I had the can in my lap as I was holding her. I slipped and she puked right in my lap. If I wasn't drunk too, it would have started off an awful puking chain reaction ;)

I have both a PC and a MAC, I love the Mac, but it's an old iBook (yes the one that looks like a womens' compact). I'm currently using the PC, but I still use the Mac when I travel. The new titanium sure looks hot.

homecoming dance is always fun. except our homecoming isn't formal and since i'm in part of the school newspaper staff, it's the one dance that leadership doesn't hold so it's the journalism class and the yearbook staff working together and i was POOPED.

hah, dang... prom was a long time ago... seems like it anyway.

Mine was held at Long Beach Aquarium. We (senior class council) had the duty of planning this whole shannagan. When we first scoped it out, I was like, oh heeeeel no... where are we gonna get down? Do people want to dance or take sight-seeing tours?

Well, nonetheless, it happened there... My ex and I broke up a few weeks before prom so I ended up going with someone that I didn't really know too well... it was apparent there was no chemistry between us because we just didn't dance on the same wavelength... so I danced with my friends, and she... I guess with hers.

My friends and I formed this one circle off to the site near the tanks and every now and then, two of us would get in the middle and show off some fun-kay moves... when they pumped up the house, this girl (that I kinda wanted to go with but was taken by the time I got around to asking) and I found ourselves in the middle dancing circles around each other.

That was the cool.

Three girl/friends crooked their fingers, winked at me seductively and told me to come hither with their facial expressions... with that, I entered the bermuda triangle. ;)

That... was cooler.

I didn't go home til 7am, just kicking it with folks after prom, watching movies and relaxing.

That... was the coolest.

I had more fun at my friends' proms than I did at my own....

First prom was at a frequented "dance" place in SF, *Gift Center*, which sucked cuz that place was used over so many times for other dances, but at least the DJs kept the music going....and dancing with a buncha cute girls that I didn't know helped too..........lol :dance:

Second Prom was my own. It sucked. 'Nuff SAID.:pissed:
After prom was great tho, movies, booze, grubbing, and bonfires til the wkend was over, lol..... :lol:

Third prom was fun cuz my date switched off with her friend, so that I ended up with my date's friend *who was a great dancer/cute* and my date ended up with the guy she was crushing, so it was all good til we went home after the after prom thang.............

Prom is something I try to forget but can't. My date left 1/2 hour into prom. I had to spend the rest of the night waiting for my friends to get ready to leave for the post-party. At the post-party, I just stood around with the rest of my marginalized friends and watched other people get drunk.
