Crossing the line in dating

As men, there are always a few taboos that you must never cross. The ones that my friends and I stick to are -

*A friend's ex. is off limits.....forever. Ok, now they have to be a real friend, the kind that carries you home drunk on your 21st birthday and cleaned you up, took off your shoes and threw you in bed. The girl in question is was a real gf, not some floozy, one night stand.

*If you should hook up with a friends prior non-serious fling, you must call your buddy first and clear the air and your conscience. He's your bud, in all likelihood he's gonna give you the thumbs up anyway (unless it's his exgirlfriend, then, you deserve the beating).

*My best friend's little sisters. As fine as she is, unless you one day marry her, it's just gonna get awkward. Besides, you saw her naked when you were 4, too weird.

*That girl you just saw your bud rapping with. Move on and don't be a cock-block, or come in and help out as the wing man.

Now, your ex-girlfriends best friends are def. not off limits, neither is her hotter younger sister.

Anyone else out there agree or have slightly different rules you and your boys go by?

(this is one i was forced to use on a friend when he suddenly changed his mind about dating his younger sister and got pissed at me when he caught her going down on me. anytime a girl tells you her door is locked, isn't necessarily telling the truth, beware. :ph34r: )

Nah, but the difference is that he said it was okay to DATE his sister. I'm 100% sure the LAST thing he wanted to even THINK about, let alone SEE was her going down on you. Understandable why he was pissed, in my opinion. If he hadnt seen what he saw, he probably wouldn't have cared.

This is probably going to make me sound like a bastard, but I really think it depends on what type of an "encounter" you have with this girl. If it was just as forgettable as your buddy's experience, I don't know if it's totally necessary to make a point of notifying him. I certainly wouldn't lie about it, but I also probably wouldn't stop the "encounter" beforehand to call him for permission :lol:

That said, I think you're better off if you just go for different people. It doesn't always have to be 90210, where friends play musical chairs with dates. It's a big world out there!

It would most likely supremely piss off a woman for some guy she's decided she wants to have sex with to call up some guy she previously had casual fun with to get permission to do something with her body.

Hrmm we had our lil honor code back home, we tended to be a bit more respectfull toward eachother's families because well, that's how we were, and the way we were raised, was pretty much if someone disrespects your friend's sister, and she has no closer family there to do something about it, it was your job to administer the necessary asswhupping. I was pretty fortunate never to be attracted to any of my friends' sisters so the topic didn't come up much.

the difference is i DO know how hispanic/latinos/*insert currently accepted PC label for those born in mexico* feel about their moms. i can totally apreciate any culture that does this. my mom was a total cunt, so i can understand those that appreciate mothers who are caring. just about every *pc title* mother i know has been caring. hell, one of my ex's mom was always making me join them for sunday dinner. just to add to my case, i didn't know it was his mom, she sure the fuck didn't look like a mom, and she didn't correct me when i said "you must be kiv's sister..." etc. ask karizma, i think i was convincing enough to her, lol. what happened happened, and i can't change it. i haven't gone milfing or something. that's wrong. but an accidental encounter, is just that, an accident. :P
