As you may have inferred from the title of this topic when I last saw the ethnicity poll here, there weren't any hispanics/(whatever incorrect term they use now) listed on there, and well that's just BLASPHEMY so I guess I'm here to change that. As for how I found out about yellowworld, a friend of mine is Asian and sent me a link about the kung fool costume, and well, I thought the site was a damned good idea, I know I became aware of a hell of a lot of issues faced by Asians, that I was well, woefully ignorant of. I was raised on the Texas/Mexico border you, see. A lot more español being slung around than well, anything else. I'm proud of who I am, and who my ancestors were and where they came from. And just to warn you all now, we Mexicans tend to joke about a lot, well, most everything, so if you see me cracking a mexican joke, go ahead and laugh, chances are I'll be laughing too.
It's nearly 3 A.M. and I have a terribly simple but frustratingly time consuming lab write up to do so I'll end it here.

The race/ethnicity titles were taken from the U.S. Census -- flawed as it may be, I thought it'd be a fair reference point.

While I've heard that "Hispanic" isn't a preferred term, what's wrong with "Latino"...?

we don't have a lot of Mexicans where we live. It's mostly Dominicans who terrorize everyone here. ;)

hey guys thanks for the welcome wagon, I really appreciate it. And just an advisory warning, my perspective may seem to be a bit skewed, but trust me, it's not, sometimes you might even think i'm crazy but know this, I'm not crazy just dangerously sane, well that's all for now, have fun all you crazy asians, and really if you guys are ever lucky enough to visit mexico visit with an open mind and warm heart, and check your baggage on the u.s. side of the border, and you'll have a great time, and above all DON'T drink the water.
