Well if you're in NY, I've enjoyed the Gotham Comedy club. I've been there a few times and they've always put on a good show. Sit in the front row to truly enjoy the experiance.
My housemate is an amatuer comedian and we went to see him at Stand Up New York. That was ok too. Quick tip, amatuer shows suck, out of every 10 acts maybe one might be good....

hmm...maybe i'll check out gotham when i'm in n.y. has anyone been to 'punchline'?
