my general feel is anything that costs a lot of money BUT does not seem to involve intensive competition for admission (ie, write essays or whatever, etc) are NOT worth it. Just ways to rip people off.

I was not a member of this webpage until i read this post. Let me tell you as a PC alumnus, that this program is worth EVERY penny you spend. Raise the money if it is out of your budget...70% of us do. Do it, you will NOT regret your decision.

But I agree with ChinaLama, it doesn't seem to be all that attractive except for people who could easily afford for a gifted program or some kind of experience for students who are really into it.

Iono. I probably would have wanted to go if I knew more about it at the time. And had the money.
