considering that the hype was that he was one of the best baseball players in japan, he's been a big disappointment. just looking at his numbers, he seems to be in the category of just average or mediocre player here in america.

so, what happened?

was he not even that good to begin with? already on the decline when he came over? he's already had enough time to adjust to american baseball, so what's his excuse?
