wow LOL, my dad was ecstatic that i was able to get in the high range of my practice exams. when i was doing the practice tets i ranged from a 30 to 32, so i'm pretty satisfied i was able to do decently.

I think given the range, 34-35 would have been possible if I did nothing but study for the MCATs over the summer. I was still trying to finish off some reqs for my AAS double major (that I decided to drop). After telling my dad that, he was like, take it again, son.

i got a 36 and my parents wanted me to take it again. parents always want to see their children constantly improve. it's their demented way of saying that they care about you.

No actually I've spent a year struggling with inner demons on whether or not I actually want to go. I've been working at a biotech company in the interim, and it's cool, but i'd kill myself if i had to do this for a living. Like take a big ol needle of HCL and just jam it up my nose and fire. Anyways, I've been dragging my feet, but I'm in the "process" of applying right now.

Benchwork is tough, but I like it. I think that in the long run, if I don't want to go to med school I'm fine getting my PhD. Or, I might just get a degree in ethnic studies.

Oh, AMCAS just ok'd my application, it got sent out to all my schools. What schools are you applying for Tao?

One bleeding heart coming up!

DId you go through the USC program? Can you give me some insight on it? It was one of the schools I applied for.

yup.. went to USC for 8 years.. 4 years undergrad... 4 years med school.. got my M.D. may 2005.. now i'm doing residency miami

i was in the first class beginning the "new" curriculum which is based on problem based learning (PBL).. it's great because there are less lectures.. and a greater emphasis on being self-taught..

the patients are homeless, from across the border or the working poor.. however.. most are appreciative of the care you deliver..

as a med student.. you basically have a ton of autonomy.. if you're eager.. just ask the residents.. and they usually will let you do whatever procedures you want (usually with their supervision)..

hope this helps.. feel free to message me whenever
