Naked fur protest stuns Chinese
Two Western anti-fur protesters have been arrested after stripping off in a busy shopping street in the Chinese capital Beijing.
American Kayla Worden, 31, and Briton Yvonne Taylor, 29, were hauled off in a police van in their underwear minutes after casting off red robes in front of dozens of onlookers.
They had unfurled banners reading "We'd rather go naked than wear fur" in English and Chinese, in protest at a fur trade fair due to open in the city on Friday.
The two women are members of animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta), which believes that the fur trade is cruel and necessary.
A spokesman for Peta later told the AFP news agency that he had had no word of the two women after their arrest.

all i gotta say is, if they're pretty petite vegetarians who stripped, then DAMN i wish i could get to some PETA events. I even watched this ad once on peta's site just cuz a hot girl was doing it.
but if it's a couple of fat lumbering french fry fans (of course french fries using VEGETABLE SHORTENING), then damn, the Chinese gov't's gotta do better than arrest them. Shoot them and serve them up in the next McDonald's menu.

those peta people are hilarious. i always love seeing peta people running demonstrating wearing their leather shoes or other animal byproducts. i'm against animal cruelty but people should know that its part of nature to eat and use animals to sustain life. if not, we wouldn't have evolved to run around furless and craving a bambi steak. Side note, to all those who hunt, did you hear that a variant of mad cow has been found in deer. This is up in Wisconsin. For most states, deer season is coming up this thanksgiving, might want to check out recent game news for your location.

Yeesh.. Never liked activists much. Found them... annoying. Dunno if they realize some(meaning most) of these fur traders don't give a rat's ass(haha!) about what PETA thinks.
Although it does pretty much suck if an animal was hunted to extinction. But then we could just export deer or something. <_<

I'm not sure if i'm remembering this right, but:
in 10th grade, we had to make presentations for speech class, and this girl got up and made a presentation about sweatshops. So at the end, someone asks, "Aren't those Nikes you're wearing?" And she goes, "yeah...but these are old." She mighta said 'they were a gift" too, forgot.
or it's like all these college activists who say "WE DON'T WANT ANY PART OF THIS IMPERIALISTIC RACIST WHITE MALE HEGEMONIC GENOCIDAL GOVERNMENT"
...and yet are going to school using Stafford Loans to help them pay their way.

yah i'd like to go hunting one of these days maybe shoot a bear or 2, a few moose, wolf pack or 2, and maybe a buck or two. i mean its like final fantasy right all animals are enemy monsters and its your right to defeat them and take GIl/ gold and items from them right.
i hate tree huggers people like them are the real threat from within america. the chinese should make them examples and force them to masterbate male pandas (like CSB/ bun boy) and be panda fluffers.

don't know if you're serious or if i hear sarcasm. i've never shot an animal for trophy, only for food. a bear, lion, wolf pack, i wouldn't hunt because what’s the point. stuff it with a permanent menacing face, ridiculous. deer, pheasant, duck, good eats. there are more deer today than when Columbus dropped by, partly because of the lack of lions, wolves and the such. if we don't control the deer population, they will most likely starve to death come winter. i like the way they hunt in germany. you're in charge of a local herd, you monitor their health and kill the weak and the lame. here in the states, you just go out and bag one.

die of starvation? yes, but in nature deer are not suppose to die from starvation. its sad to see an animal die of starvation, they get confused, when you don't have enough to eat, your brain starts going, i think because your brain cells actually die. also they go blind. anyway its slow and painful. before they get to this point, they are suppose to be caught and eaten by a lucky mountain lion or a pack of hungry wolves.

Sometime ago, I was in a mall and the annoying pest were there. Of course, they spotted me and started towards me. This woman tried to force this pamplet in my face. This really pissed me off. I told her if she didn't get the hell out of my face I was going to make her eat that damn pamplet. There were a couple of them that had spray paint. So I turned to them and said, "If any of you spray my coat, I was going to wedge the can so far up their ass that you will have to open your mouth to make the can work." They quickly moved out of my way like Mose's parting the red sea.

BCJ-
That made it crystal clear. Guess I would tell someone to end my misery if I was dying slowly and painfully. Of course, IF I could.
BAG-
HAHA! Yeeeehaw!
I wanna get a leather coat, a suede Stetson hat(cowboy hat), put on my suede shoes(by the way, Suede is also a byproduct of cows), go up to them and go "Howdy, y'all."
And then of course, running like my life depended, dropping ninja spiky things in my wake.

That "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" thing is actually a pretty huge campaign. There's a lot of celebrities that have been photographed naked under that heading. I think Katie Holmes was one of them. But I can't remember.
